Thank you to all HSA members that attended the 2020 Annual General Meeting.
On behalf of the 2020/2021 committee we look forward to working with members to overcome some of the challenges of the past 12 months and take advantage of some of the opportunities ahead.
Clearly the issue of building insurance and the bushfire and COVID recovery are primary concerns from all but we look forward to working with the RMB and other partners to progress solutions to deliver the most successful 2021 winter season as possible.
A major focus for the new committee will be to keep you informed of the events going on and maximise the benefits of a cooperative approach to many of the common issues we face. I would strongly urge you all to register your contact details on the new website which will facilitate the communication channel with club lodges and members. The HSA has a new Instagram account and updated Facebook page. The HSA will be using these socials as one of our primary communication methods moving forward.
A significant initiative of the past committee was to recognise the lack of income for many members over the 2020 circumstances and not levy charges last year. To ensure we are active and can instigate many of initiatives from the TNE/HSA Destination Action Plan plus support members in attaining cost savings, we would ask to make your 2021 subscriptions as soon as you are able.
On behalf of the committee we thank you for your support and welcome your ideas and energy in further improving Mt Hotham for the future.
We would also like to recognise the efforts of the previous committee and in particular the two retiring members Rob Anderson and Brian Vowles for their contribution over many years. In particular Brian’s assistance in the transition to a new online member management platform and refreshed website.
